- Died February 22, 1913 in Leavenworth, KS
- Served in Company H, 56th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War.
- Was wounded in the left hand on 29 Aug 1862 during the Second Battle of Bull Run.
- Was employed by the Santa Fe Railroad Company from 1881 to about 1900 as a fireman and engineer.
- Worked in New Mexico Territory in 1882, The Republic of Mexico from 1883-1885 and the Arizona Territory, while employed for the railroad.
- Lived at the Western Branch, National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers in Leavenworth, KS from about 1902 until his death.
- Buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Kansas City, MO, Block D, Lot 281. Interred 25 Feb 1913
